Maurice Perrault (12 June 1857 – 11 February 1909) was a Canadian architect, civil engineer, and politician. Born in Montreal, Canada East, the son of Henri-Maurice Perrault, a surveyor and architect, and Marie-Louise-Octavie Masson, Perrault studied at the Petit Séminaire de Montréal from 1867 to 1875. He studied surveying and architecture from 1875 to 1879. In 1880, he went to work for his father which was called Perrault et Mesnard where he practiced architecture. He designed Laval University, St. Denis Street, 1893-94.〔http://dictionaryofarchitectsincanada.org/architects/view/1389 Maurice Perrault〕 From 1898 to 1902, he was mayor of Longueuil, Quebec. He was elected by acclamation to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec for the electoral district of Chambly in the 1900 election. A Liberal, he was re-elected in the 1904 and 1908 election. He died in office in 1909 and was buried in the Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery. ==References==
